This was my first WIM event and I was thoroughly impressed. I enjoyed learning about how Dr. Brenda Barnes and the executive team at KUSC have approached their strategic expansion into the Northern California area and how she not only works to integrate the stations’ diverse cultures and values, but how she created community for Trojans in the area through KUSC. As a Talent Management professional, I’m also naturally curious about the impact of leadership on innovation and strategic advancement of an institution’s mission and was delighted to gain insights into Brenda’s thought process and great practices as a leader. Her commitment to development of her team is exceptional and noteworthy!
